We are living in such a prima donna world these days that it causes us to focus on the outside versus the inside. When we see an overweight person we call them fat and sluggish. We see the skinny as sad and anorexic. We view the not so attractive, as ugly and the nice looking as sex symbols. When will we as a society be able to look past others imperfections and past our own judgmental views in order to see the real person. The persons God created in His own image because He loved us.

II Corinthians 4:18, So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Recently my own weight has gone up mostly due to medications that I have been on for almost 9 years, accompanied by the fact that I’m getting older and need to exercise. There are times I look in the mirror and can’t find the person that used to stare back at me. Some days I am saddened by the reflection that I see and wonder will the old me ever be seen again? I looked in the mirror recently and said aloud, “Wow you’re FAT!” But today God reminded me FAT doesn’t reflect who I am but what I perceive myself to look like on the outside. He advised me to turn the mirror around so that it could reflect the inner image and preceded to tell me what FAT means in His language.

F- I’m Favored By God.

A- I’m Anointed by God.

T – I’m Transformed because of God.

Then a smile swept across my face because now I can look in the mirror and say aloud PROUDLY! I’m F.A.T. (Favored, Anointed & Transformed)

I Samuel 16:7 (b) For the Lord sees not as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.

The next time you look in the mirror and see something you don’t like just look into God’s mirror and get His perspective on the image looking back at you! And then you can thank God you are F.A.T.! Favored, Anointed & Transformed. He truly has a way of turning things around for our good! Be Blessed.

Romans 8:28, And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
