The savior of the world was just brutally murdered right before the disciples, and they could do nothing to stop it. Peter is recorded for openly denying Jesus 3 times, but none of them stood by Jesus during this defining moment. The friend they walked and talked with is no longer there. How can the conquering Messiah be conquered? What will they do now? Sometimes the tragedy can be so overwhelming that it engulfs us and paralyses us. But what happens to the promise, if we stay stuck on the tragedy?
